Executive producer Julie Plec promised an “emotional experience” in “The Vampire Diaries” series finale, and that’s exactly what we got. In many photos of the shoot, it is discovered that Stefan no longer has its ring of protection and in addition, it has a bandage in the hand. Stefan would become human and marry Caroline Numerous clues point to a marriage between Caroline and Stefan in the penultimate episode of the series … but that’s not all! The Vampire Diaries creator says Damon still plans on becoming human to get his happy ending with Elena.

Knowing that Stefan was about to killer her, Bonnie injected Stefan with the cure she had just extracted from Elena's body as a form of self defense.
