modem won't turn on after power outage

It went solid amber and stayed there.

1) Power down all computers, the router, and the modem, and unplug them from the wall. July 5th - We had another 1-2 second power outage and once again my mini plug did not reconnect to wifi after power and wifi returned.

But the question here is regarding the desktop that will not turn on after this storm and apparent power surge. When I hit the power button, nothing happens.

I've power cycled the modem several times, going as far as leaving it unplugged for 18 hours. I've called Time Warner tech support and they said my modem shows as offline since the power outage 2 days ago.

A part of my town had an extreme power outage 2 nights ago. When the Globe light on the cable modem becomes solid green, turn on the router.

5) Power down the router. So stupid if you ask me. Router stops working after brief power outage Hello everyone, My router is actually the RangeMax Duo WNDR3300, but I couldn't see that forum. 3) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes). Fine if you are there, but obviously impossible if you are not there. 2) Disconnect all wires from the router. ... (turn both modem and router off, power on modem, then after it is fine power on the router). 4) Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then release it, then let the router reset and reboot (2-3 minutes). Since then, my modem hasn't been able to connect to the internet.

Make sure the ends of the Ethernet cable are securely plugged into both the modem and the WAN port of the router.

HELP ! Had a power cut earlier today and now the router won’t connect to the internet. The whole thing basically reset itself to factory settings and the IP address is showing as 0 0 0 0.

Sorry. Computer won't turn on after power outage by madgrrl Dec 19, 2013 6:19AM PST The power went out all along our street for several hours last night. The mini plug must be physically unplugged from the outlet and plugged back in again to get it to reconnect to wifi.

Then turn on only the modem. If the power goes out for any length of time over 4 hours, I lose all ability to control or monitor my smart devices and am basically paying for internet that does not work because the modem won't turn back on itself after a power outage.

Recently we had some heavy rain and I had a few things blow out, including router, modem, desktop, and a few other things. It seems like it just wont accept any information coming from the modem. Power off both the modem and the router.
